Survey of IT Managers Identifies Internal Threats and Lack of Security Planning

InternalThreatAccording to a survey conducted in December and released recently by Sungard, IT professionals believe their organizations aren’t doing enough to protect critical data and related systems.

The Survey identified the top concerns of IT Managers and Executives in the area of security.

The Top Concerns are:

  • Internal Threats
  • Leaving laptops and mobile phones unsecured
  • Employee password sharing
  • Weak Passwords and Never Changing Passwords
  • The lack of security planning
  • IT Security as an Afterthought
  • Concerns regarding Cloud Security

The survey, conducted by SurveyMonkey Audience for Sungard AS, reached 276 IT professionals and was completed in December 2014.
